The SLWSS board thanked Steve Dills, the past editor of the Sylvan Lake News, for his contributions to watershed awareness, conservation and protection and presented him with a framed souvenir of his work:
The central graphic is a Wordled word cloud version of Steve Dills’ articles that were published in the SLN over several years. It is surrounded by copies of Steve’s columns on topics that continue to be important for the protection of water quality and awareness of municipal land use practices.
The accompanying inscription said:
“Presented to Steve Dills by the Sylvan Lake Watershed Stewardship Society for his editorial opinions, coverage of municipal politics, and diligent and timely reporting on Sylvan Lake and its watershed.”
