The following graphics present Alberta Municipal Affairs data and provide an overview of land distribution, population, equalized assessments and revenue and expenses for the municipalities that are parties to the Inter-municipal Development Plan (IDP) that is now at the stage of preliminary consultation and due by 2020.
Note that in each of those categories there is a mismatch between the characteristics of the largest participant, the Town of Sylvan Lake (TSL), and all others including Lacombe and Red Deer Counties when data are compared for municipal jurisdictions that are located within the Sylvan Lake watershed boundary.
Even when aggregated, the land area, population, equalized assessment, revenue and spending of the seven other municipalities is tiny when compared to that of the TSL.
